Vacuum forming machine for packaging products onto a cardboard backing using the thermo-vacuum method.
The machine can produce:
- Skin packaging (where the skin film conforms to the finished product and adheres to a cardboard backing);
- Blister production:
- Forming of packaging, boxes, and trays for food products from thermoplastic films. For the production of blisters and trays, the equipment is fitted with the specific molds required by the customer.
Additionally, the manufacture of a set of molds for forming blisters and boxes.
Purpose:
The VFM is designed for:
- packaging household goods, cosmetics, and stationery, gift sets, small spare parts for various types of machinery, toys, fastener kits, and small components;
- manufacturing blister packs, insert trays (correx), transparent boxes, and disposable tableware;
- producing trays for food packaging.
Recommendations for selecting consumables for skin packaging
Skin packaging serves as an alternative to blister packaging; it involves a thin film that is heated and—under vacuum conditions—tightly conforms to the product, which is typically placed on a sheet of cardboard or heavy paper. This method ensures product integrity and an excellent visual presentation. Crucially, the product remains visible for inspection without the need to open the package.
Skin packaging does not require molds, making the process convenient and significantly more cost-effective.
Selecting the right consumables ensures an attractive appearance and a secure, airtight seal.
The skin packaging process utilizes single-layer, uncoated, air-permeable cardboard (which must be completely dry) with a thickness of 0.5–0.6 mm, along with a thermoplastic film capable of maintaining its integrity when stretched by up to 300%. We recommend using specially treated PE film with a thickness of 80–200 microns. In addition to polyethylene film, “Surlyn” film—made from ionomer resin—may also be used.
Recommendations for selecting materials for blister pack formation
The technology for producing blister packs, chocolate trays, and transparent confectionery boxes involves the manufacture of reusable molds using materials approved for use in the food industry (such as aluminum or wood).
Consumables—whether domestically produced or imported—consist of films such as PE, PVC, PET, or PS, with thicknesses ranging from 80 to 1,000 microns.
